Where do I start… this trip was truly one of the most unique, exciting, and transformational experiences I’ve ever had. I came here by myself not knowing what to expect. What I found was a warm, welcoming, and kindhearted community of women who embraced me with open arms, showed up authentically everyday and uplifted each other in so many ways.
I was extremely impressed with how every part of the trip was meticulously planned. It’s evident that a lot of time, effort, planning, and care is put into this. I also enjoyed that participating in the planned activities was entirely optional, so if you didn’t want to do yoga, or go on a ride, that was just fine.
Our days went something like this: Wake up at your leisure, have coffee and breakfast, do yoga, relax for a bit, groom the horses and prepare them for riding, take out ride and have our lunch, come back and take a cold plunge in a cold spring, have dinner, relax and enjoy each others company. We had a craft table, and many other fun activities. We did a sound bath, we pulled oracle cards for each other, and played fun games. We also had a chef there, Amber, who provided us with absolutely delicious, made from scratch meals. There are also lots of snacks provided for us that anyone can take from the kitchen, and you can also bring your own.
Accommodations were great, it’s not your average camping experience. We had a very large wooden and cloth tent, that could sleep up to 6 people, and everyone had a bed cot and mattress. There were also wood burning stoves inside each tent. We did not use the stove as it was not very cold, but I do recommend bringing a good sleeping bag and a blanket to keep warm at night.
I learned so much here, about myself, and about horsemanship. I did not have a lot of experience with horses, so I appreciate everyone taking the time to teach me and help me learn about how to groom them, saddle them, and how to safely be around them. Everyone was so patient and lovely. I also had an energy healing session with Abbey, which I highly recommend. The other ladies there were absolutely lovely, and everyone got along so well, and it really was just a great time all around.
I want to extend a big thank you to the wonderful ladies who make it all happen, Abbey, Liz, Marily, Delia, Rosalyn, Amber. What an exceptional group of women, thank you for all your hard work, it is so appreciated. I highly recommend Lavender Elephant Retreats!!!
